ISOVAC CAPSULS™. Prevent cross-contamination between the patient and the external environment.
Introduction
The CAPSULS™ patient isolation unit (PIU) was developed with transportation of patients in mind. It prevents cross-contamination between the patient and the external environment.
Originally developed to protect U.S. military personnel from potential radiological and nuclear exposure in middle east operations, it has since been adopted for use in transporting patients, who have highly contagious pathogens like ebola or COVID-19.
It is the ONLY such device that has been approved by the FDA for patient isolation transportation (510(k) K052798).
